Just in Case: Emergency Protocol

IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY | 1871 and MERCHANDISE MART

 

First Aid Kit:  Located at front desk at 1871

 

Defibrillator Locations/Fire Extinguishers  Locations: See below

 

Merchandise Mart Security: 312-527-7700

1871 Emergency Number: 312-809-5765

 

If there is a fire or emergency in your space,

call 911 and then call Security at 312-527–7700

to alert them to the emergency situation.

 

You must also notify 1871 by calling the 1871 Emergency number is: 312-809-5765

 

Emergency Protocol:

  1. Call 911
  2. Call the Merchandise Mart Security desk at 312.527.7700. Tell them you are with 1871 on the 12th floor, what the emergency is and that you have called 911. The security desk should send the first responders up to the 12th floor. Ask them to call you back when the first responders arrive and are heading upstairs. Before the first responders leave please make sure you gather information on the victim – first & last name and phone number.
  3. Call the 1871 emergency phone number, 312.809.5765. This number will call our VP of Member Operations, Laura Clark and VP of Events, Jeanne Reidy all at the same time. Whoever picks up first will be on the phone with you. Please let them know who you are, what happened and that you have already called 911.
  4. Call Jeanne Reidy, VP of Events, 773.677.5885 and let her know what happened and she will send an email to the team.
